DSEIS Public Hearing

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development invites the community to attend an open house public hearing for the I-49 Lafayette Connector.
At this hearing, the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) will be available for review. The DSEIS is also available to view prior to the event at the Lafayette Public Library (Main) or at the LADOTD District Office in Lafayette (228 Rue des Voyages), or online here:
Attendees will have the opportunity to review project information, meet members of the project team, ask questions, and learn more about:
- The general location and design features of the proposed roadway
- The project’s purpose and need
- The right-of-way acquisition process and relocation assistance program
- Anticipated social, economic, and environmental impacts
- Consistency with local urban planning goals and objectives

Location: Downtown Convention Center
Open House: 4:30–6:00 p.m.
Public Comment Session: Begins at 6:00 p.m. and continues until all comments have been heard
During the open house, attendees may review materials at their convenience, ask questions, and submit written comments at the comment station. Those wishing to make verbal comments may do so during the public comment session.
