DESCRIPTION:The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development invites the community to attend an open house public hearing for the I-49 Lafayette Connector. \nAt this hearing\, the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) will be available for review. The DSEIS is also available to view prior to the event at the Lafayette Public Library (Main) or at the LADOTD District Office in Lafayette (228 Rue des Voyages)\, or online here: \n\n\n\n    \n        \n            \n            \n                Draft SEIS\n                 1 file(s)  58.49 MB\n            \n            \n                Download\n            \n        \n    \n\n\n\nAttendees will have the opportunity to review project information\, meet members of the project team\, ask questions\, and learn more about: \n\nThe general location and design features of the proposed roadway\nThe project’s purpose and need\nThe right-of-way acquisition process and relocation assistance program\nAnticipated social\, economic\, and environmental impacts\nConsistency with local urban planning goals and objectives\n\nDate: Wednesday\, September 2nd\, 2026\nLocation: Downtown Convention Center \nOpen House: 4:30–6:00 p.m.\nPublic Comment Session: Begins at 6:00 p.m. and continues until all comments have been heard \nDuring the open house\, attendees may review materials at their convenience\, ask questions\, and submit written comments at the comment station.
